Dr. Aliyu Ladan is a highly motivated and accomplished Nigerian neurosurgeon with a solid foundation in general surgery and a growing specialization in neurosurgical practice. Born on August 14, 1990, in Argungu, Kebbi State, he obtained his MBBS degree from the Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto in 2015 and subsequently completed his internship and national service in reputable health institutions across Zamfara and Kaduna States.
Dr. Ladan is a Member of the West African College of Surgeons (MWACS) and the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria (NPMCN), where he has undergone rigorous surgical and neurosurgical training. He is currently a Senior Registrar and Chief Resident in the Department of Neurosurgery at Usmanu Danfodiyo University Teaching Hospital (UDUTH), Sokoto, where he leads in both clinical and academic capacities.
With a professional career spanning over nine years, Dr. Ladan has served in various roles, including House Officer, Medical Officer, Registrar, and now Senior Registrar. His work experience covers general medical practice, surgical residency, and focused neurosurgical care. He has demonstrated consistent excellence in academic development, having attended numerous national and international surgical courses, revision programs, and scientific conferences aimed at enhancing his technical competencies and staying abreast of innovations in surgical sciences.
In addition to his clinical and academic roles, Dr. Ladan has made significant contributions to medical leadership and professional development. He served as Clerk and Speaker of the Association of Resident Doctors (ARD) Sokoto Branch, Welfare Officer of the Department of Surgery, and currently holds the position of Chief Resident in Neurosurgery.
